PALESTINE

Adelaide, South Australia

Who we are

We are doctors, nurses, paramedics, allied health professionals, and other health workers who vehemently oppose the genocide, oppression and apartheid in the occupied Palestinian Territories.

We advocate for -- and aim to amplify the voices of -- our colleagues in Palestine, particularly Gaza, who continue to serve their community in spite of the atrocities perpetrated by the Israeli military.

Upcoming event:

Join sold out audiences in New South Wales, Victoria, ACT, and Queensland, as well as Beirut, The Hague, Washington DC, and Totnes (UK) to view Nick Hanna’s directorial debut, The Last Sky. Filmed in Lebanon and Occupied Palestine, this is a must-see documentary for anyone interested in understanding the Gaza genocide and the escalating conflict in the region.

The film touches on armed resistance, including an analysis on the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah on the Lebanese front. Discuss this and more with our panelists.

Nick Hanna is a Lebanese-Australian lawyer and first-time filmmaker based in Sydney with a 20-year history of campaigning and fundraising for Palestine. He currently provides pro bono legal services to individuals participating in pro-Palestine protests, direct action and other solidarity work.

Paul Heywood-Smith was the initial chairperson of the Australian Friends of Palestine Association (AFOPA), an incorporated association registered in South Australia in 2004. He is the author of The Case for Palestine, The Perspective of an Australian Observer published by Wakefield Press in 2014.
